We went, as a family to see Real Madrid v Seville, and have a short city break in Madrid. The whole package was excellent, we were able to amend it to suite our wants. We stayed for 3 nights, changed our seats in the stadium, flight times and we were able to choose a hotel in Madrid’s old town. When we needed to speak to the representatives from FootballBreak they were friendly and very helpful. The match tickets were waiting for us when we checked into our hotel, and even though the match kicked off late (10pm local time) it was a great spectacle (7 - 3 to Madrid).
As we chose a hotel in the centre of the old town of Madrid and used taxis to and from the stadium. Whilst it was busy after the game, there were plenty of taxis (we only had to wait a couple of minutes) and they are not an unreasonable price. We also used the local taxis to and from the airport, again with no issues and very speedy. Madrid is a beautiful city and, for a capital city, the cost of eating and drinking out isn’t unreasonable.
V good overall. Perhaps an idiots guide for what else to arrange (airport parking, health insurance). Didn't notice the metro station to get off at until after I was in the hotel (bold or highlight maybe). Please double warn that Ryanair charge 20 euros for each kg over 20kg your suitcase is!! What a rip off No huge criticisms as your staff wee all helpful on the phone and email Thank you
Me and my friend went to see Real Madrid vs Juventus. The total package was fine and I recieved all the information that I though was neccesary. Only one thing which was a problem was that I got given a double bed room when I did book a 2 single beds. Luckily the hotel was able to switch rooms. The atmosphere was amazing, the best stadium I have ever been too. Madrid is a very beautiful city with very good food.
Buy a metro pass! It cost me 18 euro's for 3 days. Go to the airport T1, T2, T3 metro station and purchase it. Also visit an information centre to pick up a street map. Visit the Plaza Mayor, the paella their was fantastic! I recommend staying for 2 nights just to experience most of Madrid.
we had a fantastic trip to see real madrid @ the bernabeu stadium.i did have reservations of going online and using a company i hadn`t heard of and ironically when we arrived at the hotel the tickets were not there(they actually were but the hotel had put them in the wrong safe).despite a small panic on my part the football break staff were excellent and sorted everything out.in fact the level of service from start to finish was excellent and i will definately use them again.
you need ID when shopping using a credit card. definately use the metro..clean/safe/cheap.
Well organised trip with no hiccups. Although the match was brought forward 24 hours to our arrival day we had plenty of time to get to the game and savour the atmosphere which was slightly subdued but it was great to see the style of European football and the world's greatest footballer playing live.
The five day Metro card purchased at the airport was excellent value. I would recommend staying at a Eurostar hotel and the city bus tours on day one which give a good insight of the places to visit. Allow three days to see the major attractions although 5/7 days could be well spent.
