Overall we had an excellent weekend break in Barcelona. The hotel- H10 Itaca is clean and comfortable with good service. It is in a good location close to Sants station. We flew with Norwegian which was good. The Barcelona match was great. Seats were a little bit low down (row 9) and you would get a better view of the game being higher up. However it was great to be there and experience football in that stadium. Barcelona is a fantastic city. The trip was booked very easily with footballbreak.co.uk and the football tickets were sent to our home in good time for the trip. The whole booking process was hitch free.
We only spent the weekend in Barcelona but would recommend longer to see more of the city.
The entire experience was outstanding. The booking process was simple and efficient, giving plenty of choices for flights, hotels and seats at the stadium making it easy to suit your budget. FootballBreak ensured that all documents were received in good time and, although not required by us, were available to give further advice as necessary. The match was amazing and the atmosphere was brilliant. So many different nationalities coming together to enjoy the beautiful game. This was my first trip with FootballBreak and it certainly won't be my last.
No tips are necessary. Let FootballBreak make your arrangements then just go and enjoy.
Thought the trip was good value for money all in. We booked a hotel transfer through the hotel itself which was cheap enough (24 euros each way). The hotel was really nice. Yes it was a little bit tired looking but the rooms were clean and attended to every day. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were really good. At the match the atmosphere was not like UK grounds (all the noise came from one place in the stadium, but everyone livened up each time Madrid scored). Booking was so easy on the internet and all the documents we received clearly stated what we needed to do. The tickets arrived on the Friday evening and the seats were really good (we even got to see ourselves on tv many times when we reran the game when we got home). Madrid was a great city to visit. It's well worth buying the open top tour tickets (we did for two days and actually used the service to take us to the Bernabau for the match). The Royal Palace is well worth a visit. Great places to eat. Tapas bars are cheap and friendly. All in all a great weekend and we will be using footballbreaks.co.uk again and are already talking about doing the same next year in Barcelona.
Make sure you do the Bernabau Stadium tour and set aside a god couple of hours to do so. It was a truly fantastic experience. The gates open just 45 mins before the match starts so no need to get there mega early.
Absolutely great weekend from start to finish, hotel was good, the stadium and match was great and the package was something we would recommend to anyone. FootballBreak was excellent.
Definitely worth every penny!
Wonderful trip to Barcelona, the hotel was first class, would definitely stay there again. The atmosphere in the camp nou was amazing. Barcelona is a wonderful city to visit, lots for everyone to enjoy. All in all a wonderful weekend break, thank you Football Breaks for all your help. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
Make sure you use the Hop on Hop off buses, fantastic way to get around this wonderful city, so easy and very frequent service.
